Courage…facing your fears

Is there something that you fear and even though you want it, it seems too scary to have.  Do you have doubts, worries and concerns or limiting beliefs about achieving the things you say you want?  Where do those doubts come from?  When did they form?  How do these doubts limit you? What would life be like if you were able to move past the fear?

There is something that I’ve wanted for a long time and I’ve stayed in my comfort zone because the fear of having it was greater than my need for it.  I then realised that unless I step out of my comfort zone with courage and take risks the things I say I want may never come.  I won’t lie, I am scared, scared of what could go wrong though I am now in the mind-set to think about all the things that could go right and the amazing opportunities that may come from stretching myself.  When I think of what’s possible then that takes me to a better feeling place, a place of growth, a place of joy, a place of knowing that so may wonderful things may happen from taking this risk and making a more informed choice.

Someone told me once ‘the past need not and should not effect the future’.  Wise words indeed.  What parts of your past and holding you back from the wonderful future that you deserve?

In the lines of Anais Nin ”The risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom”

Will you step into your future with me, with courage, facing your fears, knowing that whatever happens…you can handle it!  The best is yet to come….

Creativity…What can you create today, tomorrow, next year?

I have been inspired this week to share Nelson Mandela’s message ‘We can change the world and make it a better place, it is in your hands to make the difference’

This got me thinking….One thing that we always have control over are our thoughts and our thoughts create our feelings and behaviours.  We can create thoughts of hatred, anger, distress or we can instead choose to think peaceful thoughts of love and compassion instead.

Be aware of how your thoughts affect your feelings and how those feelings affect your behaviours and actions and the results that show up in your life.

Our future is really a blank canvas, we have the paints and we are the artists of our on masterpieces.  What will you create in your mind today, tomorrow, next year and will your picture be a work of art?

These are a few of my favourite things…

Who remembers this song from The Sound of Music and what are your favourite things?

Here are mine….

Family, friends, laughter, hugs, sunshine, fresh air, the smell of freshly cut grass, water, cosy socks, pets, my home, warmth, fresh food, a child’s smile, stars, dew, the beach…so many things to like and appreciate and when we focus on what our favourite things are our problems don’t seem so bad….
